Announcing Research Rockstar’s New Market Research eLearning Format!
Back in August, we let our students know that big changes were coming in 2023.
And now they are almost here! We heard our students’ desire to access high-quality skill-based microlearning and listened: Research Rockstar will consolidate its eLearning formats for 2023, create interactive market research content, and bring bite-sized learning into the new year.
For those familiar with our learning formats, you’re likely aware that student memberships have been divided into On-Demand, which includes pre-recorded lectures alongside relevant job aids and lecture content, and Full Access, which includes the ability to attend live sessions, receive instructor feedback and be eligible for Insights Association Certificates.
With our new eLearning format, we are replacing existing membership levels with an All Access Backstage Pass that combines 24/7 online interactivity with optional 1-hour Live Events hosted in a virtual classroom. Annual fees will range from $1,800 per student down to $1,150, depending on team size (number of students registered). An optional instructor support module will be available to students who want personalized feedback from our expert instructors.
One of the many improvements students can expect in 2023 includes having access to higher-quality, pre-recorded lectures tailored for microlearning. These lectures will last anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes in duration, will have optimized sound quality (no more pops or background feedback!
), and will be available 24/7 through Research Rockstar’s Training Portal. Further, previous lecture content will be converted into a variety of useful bonus resources such as job aids, interactive quizzes to reinforce learning, bite-sized explainer videos, and much more!
Students can be sure that previous learning content will not be lost in the shuffle; rather, existing content will be enhanced to increase retention while also adding new content that keeps training teams engaged.
So where did the Research Rockstar live lectures go? Student feedback indicated that, while many want to attend live sessions, the most frequent barrier to doing so has been the lecture length (often 90 minutes). Of those students who reported this, workload and schedule conflicts were most often cited, and many stated that they would be more likely to attend if each session was shorter in duration.
Spurred by student input, Research Rockstar has now converted our live lectures into pre-recorded video lessons, each no more than 30 minutes in duration.
And with the retirement of live lectures, we are adding Live Events. Lecture content will exist in the prerecorded video lessons, and for real-time interactivity, students will have the option of attending interactive Live Events (hosted on Zoom, webcam participation optional). In 2023, each course will host anywhere from four (4) to eight (8) Live Events each year, with each Live Event lasting no more than one hour. This way, we aim to make it as easy as possible to attend Live Events by keeping them short and by offering multiple sessions throughout the year.
With the updated format, students will have even greater flexibility regarding when, how, and for how long they want to learn. Better yet, the consolidation allows all students to be eligible for Insights Association certificate credits! You will still need to enroll for the certification(s) you wish to complete, but completing the courses and learning hours required by each certificate will no longer be limited to those who have a Full Access membership.
