[New Video] Data Sources Commonly Used in Big Data & Analytics

Learning to become a data-fluent market researcher? A good first step is learning about the wide variety of data sources available to most organizations. In market research, we commonly use data collected from surveys, focus groups, social listening and so on.  Very often, data we have to actually go out and collect ourselves.

But what about our colleagues on the “big data” and analytics side? What data sources do they use? At the highest level, they typically use five data sources. Some are internal, others external.

In this conversation, we identify the five data sources and share some examples of how companies use them to generate customer insights. Some of these data sources made feel new or uncomfortable for professionals who are used to working with more traditional market research data sources. But now that we live in a data-fluent world, it’s time to get acquainted.
