What do business strategy, cross-functional team management, CX and market research have in common?
They are all phrases commonly mentioned in current market research and insights job postings. Today’s job opportunities require both conventional skills and synthesis skills. By synthesis skills, I mean the ability to integrate multiple data sources for a data-agnostic, comprehensive approach to meeting project goals. This often requires leading (if temporarily) cross-functional teams. It also means being the translator between data and business strategy.
