When you need fast access to qualified researchers due to an unexpected project overload or are temporarily understaffed, we are here for you.

Rent-a-Researcher allows you to extend your staff “just-in-time.” Clients pay an agreed upon hourly rate for an agreed upon estimate of hours needed to complete an assignment. When outsourcing, you hire an individual or company to complete the work, typically from start to finish, for a fixed fee that may reflect several services and expenses. Generally, outsourcing costs more than Rent-a-Researcher engagements.

It varies. We get many one-off, 20-hour “rescue” missions. And we also get many 6 to 8-week engagements (usually ranging 25 to 40 hours/week). Our longest engagements have lasted over 12 months. Just tell us what you need. We do require a minimum of 10 hours, except for questionnaire programming. For engagements of 3 months or more, a retainer agreement will provide rate reductions and priority scheduling.

The contract establishes a level of commitment between all parties. We want to know that you are seriously pursuing an engagement before we contact freelancers on your behalf, and we want you to have process documentation that will ensure your satisfaction.

Yes, your information is safe with us. We have non-disclosure agreements with our researchers. However, if you require an additional non-disclosure agreement due to your company’s legal requirements, we are happy to facilitate that as well.

Once the staffing agreement is in place, it typically takes two to three business days to provide you a list of three best-matched candidates. An additional week or two may be needed before starting the engagement depending on how long it takes to schedule and complete interviews, make your selection, and give the researcher time to finish a current project.

Yes, if your need is urgent we will match you with a consultant who has skills and availability. Extra fees apply for weekend work.

With today’s technology, most researchers can successfully work remotely using their own office and equipment. Should you need a researcher to attend an on-site meeting, you will be responsible for travel time and out-of-pocket travel expenses.

Yes, the researcher will complete a weekly timesheet which is then sent to you for approval via Adobe Sign.

For standard projects, we invoice bi-weekly. For retainer agreements (3 months or longer), we invoice monthly.

Absolutely! We love when you have found someone perfect. The staffing agreement addresses temp-to-perm cases in more depth, including the fee arrangement.
